FMCS NeTwORk DiSasTER

on Monday morning, our FMCS control room having some problem with its network for the SCADA PCs. almost all the PC cannot connect to the server. so, my guys having some problem to monitor.

our gds client pc also down. so, many complaints from the production people as they cannot request for gds disable and cannot proceed their maintenance activities. i was so pressure to up the pc asap. phui did help me to troubleshoot and we manage to get the network up after a while.

nothing can be found that caused the problem. what we did is unplug and plug back the connections, and everything back to normal. hmm... very weird !! i never encounter this before. well, this serve as an experience for future similar problem.

the problem didnt end just like that.. one of the pc keep having network problem after that.. this morning i try to troubleshoot further but unluckily caused the overall network to be downed. but i manage to recover back within half an hour !!

now the network still under monitoring.. really cannot find any problem / fault with it.. must be ghosts.. !!! wwuuuuuhhh...... !! :)
