last nite there was a little bug that flew into my living room. something like a bee. i took some photos of the bug with my new bought camera.



Taken quite a few photos but most of it quite blur as the bug keep flapping its wings..

never thought a bug can be so interesting until i took these photos..


after the photo-shoot, i use a broom to sweep the bug out from my house.. haha.. so cruel of me. well, its the one that invade my house in the first place. so, out it goes.. bye...

iT's FriDaY!

yahooo... today is Friday!!! no mood to work liaw. had been working like a cow since Monday. too exhausted.

tonite is game nite. m3 here we come again! haha.. the m3 boss must be very happy to see us again. every friday donate some money to him.. haha.. i hope tonite i can kill some.. last week i manage to get continuous 4 or 5 kills before i got killed. Alvin, Alex watch out!! i'm no more a noob... haha..

last nite i had a short practice at home. practice with 6.35b ai which i think it had improve my skills quite a lot. at least now i'm less noob compared to last time.

hope tonite my partner, Alan can perform and we can win all the games.. last week he didnt perform. so, we win 1 and lost 1.. hope tonite revenge.

can't wait til tonite liaw.. haha..

YAhOo FaNtaSY

it's back! the worlds' most popular fantasy game is back. Yahoo fantasy football 2006/07 is back in town. this is my 6 times joining the game. never win it before. the best i got is number 2. that's last year.

my target for this year is 2nd place. why not 1st? well, if accidentally i got 1st, means i'm exceeding my expectation.. haha..

2nD ViSiT to HoRnBiLL SteAmBoAt

Yesterday we went to hornbill steamboat again. this time is for my own section's gathering (MEIDB). the dinner was for the appreciation to all the guys during the process hold. it is very much a touching nite that it represent the appreciation from the management to all the staffs for their hardworks... haha.. wtf.. all with 2 balls.. what touching... haha... sounds like a bunch of gays gathering.. :)

well deep in the heart, we all really appreciate the hardworks from all the guys contributed during the process hold period. thanks to all of them..

again i was the first to arrive there. met Renjan and followed by Guillan.. we decide to start off first.. as usual hungry mah... then others came about 5 minutes later.. so, start cooking and eating..

dinner went very fulfilling in terms of foods, jokes sharing and friendship bonding.. at least i felt so laa...

really hope there are more of this type of gathering in future.. say is easy.. but who's gonna sponsor? not cheap to organize this gathering oo... pity Kang.. hehe.. but sure no problem laa.. he can earn back.. in Football.. EPL starts liaw...

talking about epl, next post i'll talk more on my selection for the ever popular yahoo fantasy soccer..!!

ThiEf iN FaCiLiTY

seems like there is a thief in the facility office. he/she has been operating for quite sometime already. quite a few valuable items had been missing. e.g. laptop, camera, memory sticks, card readers, etc.

the recent incident was the stolen facility camera. the camera was kept by NgMC. it was last used during Tony's birthday (check my previous post). the photos for the birthday had not been uploaded yet. i tried on last friday but failed. so actually want to wait for monday to try upload again.. hmm.. what to do? no more camera...

last time i also lost my memory stick in the office.. i wonder why the thief only target facility office.. i never heard from operation that things go missing in the admin operation office..

hope the thief will be caught soon. now our security is doing their investigation in the office.

STOP!!

it's been quite an unlucky few months for me in the stock market. buy what lose what. or even worse, buy and sold (lose a bit).. the next day that particular stock shoot up like rocket. aahh... why so unlucky??

since no more capital in the account, i may as well take a break from the 'heart-attack' of the stock trading. live a simple life for a while. concentrate on my work. do more studies on the current robust market. cant really jump into it without knowledge of Do's and Don'ts.

must try to consolidate all the loses and turn it into valueable knowledge. make use of the wrong things i did and avoid it.

few things i would like to share for the short experience i gained in the stock market.

1. never be greedy
2. must always be patient (either buy or sell)
3. dont be too emotional in making decision
4. be selective when buying
5. dont put all your eggs in one basket
6. trade only within your limits.. dont play margin
7. read and research more to gain knowledge
8. dont trust blindly on rumours or forums.. do research first
9. self-planning is very important
10. always down-to-earth when winning or losing (keep low profile) - play smart

hope i'll do better when i'm out from my retiring in the future.. haha.. when? when time is right and capital is in hand.. haha.. long time to go....

ToNy's BiRThDaY

Today is Tony's birthday!! 28 years old liaw. same age as me. but my birthday not reach yet.. so, i'm still younger.. haha..

that day, Tony's girlfriend, Gloria from our Finance arranged a surprise birthday celebration in Facility office for Tony. at around 4.30pm, Gloria came with birthday cakes and soft drinks. we sang birthday song and Tony made a wish before blowing off the candles..

simple but cheerful celebration.. especially all the monkeys in the office, teasing both Tony and Gloria. we seldom have birthday celebration in the office. so, this brighten up the office environment.

we took some photos. i tried to upload it out but failed. so, decided to upload again on Monday. (edited on 14.8.06 @ 1:05pm) but unfortunately the camera went missing during the weekend.. will talk more on this next time.

hmm.. i never thought this day will ever come to me.. i'm putting weight!! over the span of over 3 months i gained almost 6 kg. This is something that never happened to me before..

what to do? i think i need to do more exercise. but everyday lazy to do. when want to do exercise, i always have this feeling.. ahh.. tomorrow can still do.. so, keep postpone and postpone.. and until now, getting fat already.. padan muka.. haha.. but actually just putting more weight laa.. not really fat. so, can say getting more standard weight.. haha.. console myself.. :)

but thinking of the place where my weight go, i'm afraid it is at the wrong place.. which is my stomach.. aahhhhh.... i dont want to become 2nd master Wong (David)... ahhh.... so scary...!!

must be more strict to myself.. must do exercise means must do.. no more delay delay.. must also go for more badminton every week... "take master Wong as the target.. try to avoid becoming like him".. hmm.. this motivation should work!! haha..

ProCeSs HoLd

on the 7,8&9 august is our process hold days. since i joined 1st silicon, this is the first time that we have a 3 days process hold. the first 2 days is mainly for our Facility works.

most of us came in very early in the morning of 7-aug. Alex came in at 6am. i just wake up at 6am.. haha.. Alvin called me at that time for breakfast. i didnt go. i took a shower and prepare for the hectic day ahead. arrive at company at 6.45am... then start the process hold final preparation before the wisel 'go'.

first activity to start off is the exhaust activities. then i start mine at around 9.15am. i changed all the FMCS and GDS PLC sync modules. when doing this, face some panic moments where the PLC cannot startup after powered down. but manage to startup in the end. during the work, there are too many 'helpers' around.. all my guys surrounding me like i'm giving practical training to them. they asked questions, and i think it's a good experience for everyone. however too many helping hands until i also confuse sometimes.. then even worse, in the middle of having some problem myself, this master Wong (David) come to me for help on his activity down at the UPW/WWT control room. i'm not able to help him as the cable that he needs is not with me and i dont have any idea where it is.. however, it interrupted my activity and concerntration already.. wtf.. sorry David.

basically, i manage to complete all my activities in time except the GDS PLC static UPS changeout. we took 1 hour more to complete.. but provided we started 0.5 hours late due to other activities.. so much pressure when doing the changeout. people cant go into the Fab/Subfab due to this activity. so, they are waiting for me to finish only they can proceed with their planned activity... i was under tremendous pressure... shit.. i almost burst.. haha.. luckily got pressure relief valve.. haha...

first day i went back at 11pm.. for others, some go earlier, some later, some even didnt go back.. just like our mr.Phui.. sleep at the workplace.. hmm... sleeping at work.. should we get him fired?? haha.... absolutely not.. he sacrifices a lot for the company.. end of 2nd day, he told me that 2 days he didnt bath and didnt see his sons... i salute him for this.. but i think he should take a break.

well, 2nd day went busy as well.. exhaust continues to have problems. actuators laa.. damper laa.. bearing laa.. vibrations laa.. etc.. NgMC is up there helping out Patrick fulltime. i was up there helping to supervise and coordinating on the techs.. that's what i think i did laa.. others may think that i'm kepoh up there.. nevermind, wtf then...

my last activity was on the PWB regulating valve replacement. manage to do it with the super help of Ah Hua, Harni and Kueh.. for this activity, some setback for me comes from the people up at the 3rd floor (exhaust). we actually sharing the cda manifold key that i took for my activity at that time. we are actually almost finish with it when there is a call to my hp saying that they need the key. i told him that we need a bit longer. and you know what is the response i got??? "we need to up the exhaust.. production is chasing for us.." wtf!! this really pissed me off.. production will only start the next day.. and he is threatening me using this excuse??? i didnt talk to him further as i think no point to argue. i understand he is in pressure to up the system as scheduled and so do i.. u have ur difficulty, i have my own as well.. he shouldnt have threaten me like that.. well, let bygone be bygone... i didnt loose anything, we manage to finish our work also.. 2nd day, i went back a bit early at 10pm.

3rd day was the day where production is starting up all the tools. acid exhaust still have problem.. so do PCW#4. but in the end of the day, everything went ok.. with problems here and there which are manageable...

so, here you go.. our process hold summary.. haha.. i only summarize our section's activities. for UHPW, i dont know.. i heard some problem with their network cables.. maybe due to someone from the underworld.. you know, on 8-aug is actually the 15th day of month seven in the chinese calendar.. which is the "hungry ghost day"... luckily i didnt see any ghosts on that day.. haha...
